Lisa is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Addiction Counselor in the State of Indiana. Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University. Lisa has been practicing in the Mental Health and Addictions field for over 25 years. She has worked with children as young as 4 years old and adults as old as 94.
Throughout her career, Lisa has worked in a variety of settings, including traditional outpatient offices, schools, inpatient units, group homes, and in clients’ homes. She has experience providing individual, marital, family and group therapy. Her areas of expertise include brief solution- focused therapy, behavior modification, trauma-informed care, and has a passion for working with persons with addictions, first responders and crisis work.
Lisa has outstanding communication skills and is empathetic and accepting of where her clients are in their situations. She easily builds rapport with clients by being a problem solver, showing flexibility, and encouraging self-awareness. As a therapist, her passion for helping her clients is observed on a daily basis, as she always remains client centered and focused on client's strengths.
