Jane Dinunzio, MSW, LCSW

Jane Dinunzio's caring, compassionate and empathetic approach is fundamental to working with individuals, couples, and families.

Jane uses an eclectic approach to therapy. She blends traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with alternative therapy styles and techniques. The result is a personalized, compassionate and effective approach. She focuses on each client as a unique individual - building on their strengths, enhancing their coping skills and helping them achieve their life goals. She has special interests in Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety/Panic Disorders, Depression, Adult ADHD, Survivors of Childhood Abuse, all types of Trauma and Grief. To Jane, her patients are a top priority. With kind and caring guidance, she helps her clients navigate their road to recovery.

To further help the needs of her clients Jane is constantly acquiring new techniques and skills. She has completed one year of training in Gestalt Therapy - this is a humanistic therapy technique that focuses on gaining an awareness of emotions and behaviors in the present rather than in the past. She is a certified Hypnotherapist and is able to integrate varying layers of hypnosis to achieve relaxation and stress reduction. Jane is trained in Level I and II of EMDR and IRRT, for work with grief, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. EMDR and IRRT are therapies which emphasize a disturbing memory(s) as the cause of a person's symptoms, and alleviate those symptoms. Both EMDR and IRRT have long been proven leaders as a healing resource for any type of trauma, large or small.

Jane has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work and obtained her Clinical License in Social Work in Connecticut and now Indiana. Throughout her career she has worked at a variety of organizations in Connecticut and Indiana, including residential treatment, mental health facilities some of which included adoption services, instructing classes for divorcing parents, and private practice.
